Of Special Pinterest -- Creamy Crockpot Hot Cocoa

Shared by Kim . . .

Thank goodness for Pinterest and the internet for making my holiday festivities less stressful!  I'll be posting several things I tried.

First up is this sinfully decadent hot chocolate.  The real deal for the serious chocolate lover!  I'm sure this is the hot cocoa the little elf girl gave to Santa (Tim Allen) in the movie Santa Clause.  Very rich and very good!

1.5 cups heavy whipping cream  (you could try half and half)
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups milk chocolate chips
6 cups milk
1 tsp vanilla

Mix and stir together in a crockpot -- this recipe fit in a small one.  Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring occasionally until hot and the chocolate chips are melted.  Stir before serving and garnish as desired.

Serves 6-8, depending on the size of mugs.

  1. Oh, boy, looks like I'll be turing the air conditioner down this weekend, so I can light a fire to sit by and drink my decadent hot chocolate:)

    1. Isn't that the truth! We're having such beautiful weather here it's hard to tell its winter. But, chocolate just makes every day better ...
